Michigan Ross is for leaders like you

During the event, you will:

Learn about the Michigan Ross action-based curriculum

Engage with Ross faculty, admissions staff, and students

Build a positive and professional network with highly motivated peers 

Gain a deeper understanding of the college application process

Participate in a group-based activity focused on a specific area of business

You are expected to participate in all aspects of the program. 

Eligibility Requirements
  • Current high school sophomore or junior 
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher 
  • Discover Ross is geared toward, but not limited to, students from a group historically underrepresented at the University of Michigan, such as Black or African-American, Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latinx, American Indian or Native Alaskan, first-generation college students, students from households with limited financial resources, and students from underrepresented geographic areas.
Frequently Asked Questions

There is no cost to attend this event. 

Parents or guardians will be invited back to attend the workshop at the end of the day. 

While attending the event does not improve chances of admission, the event does provide exposure to an undergraduate business education, which provides attendees with a more clear view of their potential and interest in pursuing a business degree. 
 

Students attending local high schools in each city are encouraged to attend. Citizenship status is not a requirement to attend. Students living abroad should not attend.

No, Discover Ross is specific to the location in which the attendee lives and where they attend high school. Preference is given to students attending local high schools in the area. 

Attendees will be responsible for transportation to and from the workshop.
