Artificial intelligence and machine learning in business
Pervasive digitization of business, ubiquity of data, and the new economics of computing power have enabled businesses to transform their decision making and business processes using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques. The market for AI and ML based applications in business analytics is expected to cross $70 Billion by 2020. Some examples include software enabled “Alexa” voice based customer interface from Amazon and NVIDIA deep learning chips used in connected cars and interactive video games. Broadly these applications include learning systems to facilitate better customer engagement, improve resource allocation and operational efficiency, and perform proactive risk mitigation. Firms strive to successfully deploy such applications to both improve their business efficiency and deliver a unique value proposition for competitive advantage in the market. In this forum, speakers from our member organizations, technology vendors and other guests will highlight the potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in varied business contexts and will share some of their best practices and lessons in AI and ML applications.
