We publish rigorous research that informs the most important conversations in business, such as the future of work, diversity and inclusion, technology and digital transformation, and healthcare access. We develop purpose-driven leaders who make a positive difference. Our action-based learning curricula connect students to real-world business experiences. Our centers of excellence in leadership and positive organizations allow students to discover a deep sense of purpose. Our students launch successful startups through our Zell Lurie Institute, improve the resiliency of local business through our +Impact Studio, and successfully manage the first-ever, student-run social venture fund.
We are making important contributions to the global impact economy. Our community partners with organizations to solve real-world challenges, generate prosperity, and create a positive impact. Throughout Detroit and southeast Michigan, students provide consulting support to small businesses and nonprofits through initiatives like our Detroit Accounting Days and Detroit Impact Conference. Faculty and students have also played a critical role in the city of Flint, developing water infrastructure technology that is serving communities across the nation. And in partnership with the William Davidson Institute, our students and faculty are improving prosperity in emerging markets around the world.
