Stephen (Steve) J. Malkin
Stephen Malkin is a retired partner and management committee member of Grosvenor Capital Management, a Chicago based alternative asset management firm. He is currently President of Ranger Capital Management, a family owned investment management group. Earlier in his career, he worked in finance and investments for affiliates of JMB Realty Corporation in Chicago and for Salomon Brothers Inc both in Chicago and Tokyo. Mr. Malkin received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BBA from the University of Michigan.
Stephen is active in a number of civic and community organizations including the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago where he has served as the general campaign chairman, government affairs chairman and on the campaign cabinet. He also sits on the Advisory Board of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, the Illinois Executive Committee of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Advisory Board of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. In addition, Mr. Malkin was elected and served on the Board of Education of New Trier Township High School in Winnetka, Illinois.
Steve is married, has four children and lives in suburban Chicago.
