Trina Van Pelt is an accomplished investment professional with 25 years of experience in growth & venture capital and corporate development leading investment strategy, transaction execution and company building to deliver strong financial outcomes. She has a strong track record of leading over 95 global technology investments and acquisitions with a $50B combined value, spanning 5 continents and numerous business models. Trina has served on numerous private company boards.
Currently, Trina is the Head of Investments for Salam Capital, a global growth equity investment firm with strategies across Technology, Healthcare and Consumer. She is also a senior advisor to several venture funds, including Montauk Climate.
From 2018-2024, Trina served as a Senior Managing Director and Investment Committee Member of Intel Capital ($5B AUM). She led Intel Capital's Frontier Technology domain focused on artificial intelligence compute & applications, intelligent edge software & integrated solutions, and data insights platforms. From 2004-2018, Trina was a Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions for Intel, developing transformative growth strategies and executing buy- and sell-side transactions. Trina’s early career included: CNET Networks (corporate development), TA Associates (private equity), Lehman Brothers (investment banking) and E&Y (financial consulting).
Trina holds a bachelor’s in business administration with distinction from the University of Michigan and a master’s in management from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. She lives in Marin County, California with her husband (who has four engineering degrees from Michigan and is a former pole vaulter and Captain of the Track & Field team) and her two sons.
