Alexander Nappi
Growing up the child of a supply chain professional, I went to school in the US, Japan, and Thailand before graduating from high school right down the road in Plymouth, Michigan. After college in Washington, D.C. at George Washington University, I commissioned into the US Army and spent a little less than five years serving as an Infantry Officer in Georgia, Texas, the UK, and South Korea.
Although I enjoyed my time in the Army, I decided to leave and pursue civilian employment. With soft skills and a bunch of unusual experiences, going to business school with an eye on a career in management consulting was a natural choice for me.
As a core part of one of the world’s premier universities, Michigan Ross was the obvious destination. Our unparalleled culture of supporting and uplifting each other, outstanding academics, and powerful network of alumni and friends made coming home to Southeast Michigan the best possible choice.
Outside of class, I try to find myself in nature as often as possible – backpacking, camping, and taking pictures of whatever megafauna I can find.
Feel free to ask me anything about Ross, the application process, or transitioning from a non-corporate role into business school. I’m always to happy talk!
