Andrew E. Johnson

Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, I spent the 11 years prior to Ross in the professional communications field — as a journalist, on Capitol Hill, and most recently at D.C.-based public relations firm. I came to Ross excited to marry elements of my previous career with the knowledge and skills I'll gain here to pursue a career in brand management/marketing; as a member of the Consortium, I had the opportunity to meet with several companies in my desired function at a conference before classes even started. Both in the classroom and through recruiting and extracurriculars, I'm not only expanding my skill set, but also my personal and professional network.

 

I also have the unique perspective of having also been a Ross partner (my wife is a year ahead of me at Ross, which is what initially brought us to Ann Arbor) as well as an MBA parent; we have two young daughters who are just as much a part of our Ross community as we are! Happy to answer any questions about family life as an MBA. 

 

When I'm not juggling homework, clubs, or the kids, I spend my time watching sports (Go Blue!), trying out new restaurants in Ann Arbor and Detroit, running, and listening to podcasts.
