Andrew Haeger
Hello! I came to Ross to pivot back into finance and go into venture capital. Though I moved away after high school, my roots in the PNW still run deep. Outdoors early and often, I developed passions for fly-fishing, hiking, camping, and skiing, which led to going to college in Maine. I started my career in investment consulting, joined a later-stage cybersecurity startup for a short stint, and then spent several years on an operations data analytics team at a beverage distributor, all the while expecting to go to business school. Choosing Ross was automatic; the Michigan Ross community is one of a kind in the way they assist in and genuinely care about each other’s success. This doesn’t end after two years either—each and every alum I’ve connected with has been incredibly generous with their time. There’s no place I’d rather be.
During my first year at Ross, I applied to the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) and became a dual-degree student to build a background in climate as I pursue climate tech venture capital. I’ve also become a co-president of EVC and a co-president of the Ross Outdoor Club, joined the boards of MTrek and the Ski & Board Club, and participated in a number of ZLI programs, all the while finding time for the many social outlets that make this community so close.
I’d be happy to talk about any of these activities—please reach out if you’d like to chat. Go Blue!
