Breana Tan
I was born in Edison, New Jersey and spent most of my childhood between New Jersey and New York City. After being exposed to NYC's bustling and diverse culture at an early age, I knew I wanted to be part of the excitement and decided to go to New York University for my undergraduate and masters degrees. After graduation I worked in investment banking, specializing in transactions in the chemicals and agriculture space. Prior to Ross, I moved from investment banking to a strategy and business development role for the CEO, COO, and Chief of Staff of the Investment Banking and Capital Markets division where I learned how to manage the organization and keep it running day-to-day.
I made the decision to come to business school at Ross to continue growing as a professional, and to learn how to become a great leader who is confident, empathetic, and able to lead during great times as well as times of crisis. At Ross, I hope to further expand on my knowledge in finance and strategy, and to pivot into an internal strategy and corporate development role in the technology or entertainment and media industries, which I am passionate about.
Outside of the classroom, I love to explore coffee shops, read, try out new yoga and pilates classes, and watch anime. I am more than happy to chat about anything and everything - go blue!
