Class of 2025

Hello! My name is Cat and I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated in 2024 from the University of Michigan where I earned a dual degree in business administration and psychology. Initially, I was focused on marketing, but during my senior year in the BBA program, I took a capstone course in technology and operations that introduced me to data visualization. That experience sparked my interest in technical analysis and how data can drive decision-making, ultimately leading me to pursue a Master’s in Business Analytics.

Now, I’m particularly interested in applying data analytics in human resources or marketing, as these fields allow me to combine my passion for understanding people with data-driven insights. Whether it’s optimizing employee engagement or improving customer experiences, I love the idea of using analytics to make an impact.

One of the best parts of this program has been the incredible cohort and the strong sense of community. Everyone comes from diverse backgrounds, and we support each other both professionally and socially. Whether through collaborative projects or networking events, the program fosters an environment where we can grow together. Beyond academics, our student organization hosts events like holiday celebrations and ice skating outings, creating opportunities to connect outside the classroom. These moments have helped me form friendships that will last a lifetime, making the experience even more rewarding.

Beyond academics, I currently work part-time at a nonprofit, where I contribute to meaningful initiatives remotely. Community impact is important to me, and I’ve had the opportunity to use my skills to support small businesses, helping them with marketing, operations, and strategic planning. I love working with organizations that give back, and I always look for ways to use my knowledge to create positive change.

In my free time, I enjoy photography, trying new foods, traveling, and baking. If you ever want to chat about the MBAn program, or the best food spots in town, feel free to reach out!
