Dillon Clancy

After graduating from college, I served as an AmeriCorps member with Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, stationed at a low-threshold clinic within a homeless shelter. I provided care coordination for patients with numerous comorbidities, the most common being substance use disorders and severe mental illnesses. After my service year, I transitioned to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Division of Population Sciences, where I conducted social-behavioral research in hematologic oncology. My work involved investigating both older adult functional status, as well as race-ethnic barriers to clinical trial enrollment. Guided by the perspectives of patients that I encountered, these experiences ignited my passion to work towards developing equitable methods of access and delivery for all patients within the healthcare system.

At Michigan, I am a dual-degree MBA/MPH student with the Ross School of Business and the School of Public Health. I knew Ross was the perfect fit for my MBA due to their strong healthcare management concentration, commitment to leadership development, and opportunity to participate in MAP. Most importantly, however, was Ross's ability to cultivate a community of welcoming students from all industry backgrounds.
