Felipe Bravo
Hi! I’m Felipe Bravo, originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Before coming to Ross, I spent ten years in asset management, specializing in equity research. In 2021, I joined a few partners to start a boutique investment firm focused on Brazilian equities—an experience that taught me a great deal about resilience, leadership, and adaptability. In 2023, I decided to take a sabbatical to spend quality time with my family and reassess my career path. Reflecting on my journey, I realized I was ready for new challenges and experiences.
After spending so much time in the same industry, the focus on hands-on learning at Ross immediately appealed to me, as it allows me to explore different paths in a low-stakes environment. Being married, I was also looking for a school with a strong sense of community so that my partner and I wouldn’t lead separate lives during this journey.
When visiting schools, none of the cities quite fit what I was looking for—until I visited Ann Arbor, the last stop on my itinerary. From the moment I set foot here, I fell in love with the city. Moving here with my wife and two dogs confirmed that this was the right place for us—it feels like home.
I’d love to connect if you’re interested in learning more about life at Ross, my experiences in Ann Arbor, or anything else on your mind. Good luck on your MBA journey!
