Indhu Venugopal
Hello there! My name is Indhu, and I am thrilled to be a student ambassador for the Weekend MBA program. Driven by curiosity and problem-solving mindset, engineering was a natural choice of profession for me. Upon graduating from NJIT with a master’s degree in electrical engineering specializing in Telecom, I started to work at one of the fastest growing wireless service providers in the US, T-Mobile. Currently as a Senior Radio Frequency Engineer, I solve engineering challenges to provide T-Mobile customers better coverage and speeds.
The realization of the need to marry engineering with other business domains to make strategic decisions that shall impact shareholder’s equity and add value to customers, led me to seek for an expansion of my business skills through MBA. In addition to invest in myself and take charge of my career, having to learn in a classroom on a weekend and apply them through the week at my day job made me zero in on choosing the Weekend program. The choice to do at Ross especially along with my husband Prasanth Muralidharan, was a no brainer as it is a top ranked B-school with an emphasis on Action-based learning, and has a strong alumni network, and I live 20 minutes from the campus!
True to one of Ross’s core values – “bringing the best self”, I have discovered greater potential within myself during my journey at Ross. This has broadened my scope to move beyond engineering and set path into consulting which I would be more than happy to talk about.
Connecting with alumni and previous ambassadors during my application journey was enriching. I’m eager to pay it forward. Whether it’s knowing about WMBA program, managing work and school, navigating course selections, women in Business school, partners doing the program together, Leadership specific clubs, career pivot, consulting, the campus, Ann Arbor or in general about MBA, feel free to hit me up! Go blue!!
