Jacob Kennedy
After undergrad I spent a year teaching English in Thailand before returning to the US to spend five years working in environmental nonprofits and local government addressing environmental and food justice at a grassroots level. While I found great satisfaction in directly serving communities I knew that I needed new skills and tools to scale my impact. I chose Michigan because of the strength of the Erb Institute where I am learning not only the analytical skills to make the business case for sustainability, but also the scientific hard skills to measure environmental impact. Ask me anything about sustainability, non traditional backgrounds, and Ross's many extracurriculars!
