Jemma Panozzo
My name is Jemma and I'm from fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. I did my undergraduate studies at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, where I majored in Accounting and Business Administration. During my time at Boise State, I completed 5 internships in different facets of accounting, and 1 additional during my graduated summer with Deloitte in their Advisory practice in Las Vegas, where I will be returning post-grad.
What ultimately brought me to U of M was my incredible grandparents who live about an hour east of Ann Arbor. I have always wanted to be in close proximity to my Midwest family, so when I received my acceptance, I couldn't secure my spot fast enough. Choosing U of M for my MAcc is, hands down, the best decision I have ever made.
The most impactful part of this program has been the community. I have met some of the best people at Ross who I will cherish friendships with for years to come, and I have professors and faculty who have pushed me both in the classroom and with my CPA preparation journey. You truly have support everywhere you look! Another great thing about this program is the elective flexibility and opportunity. I am about as extroverted as they come and have taken electives where I have been able to strengthen my social abilities in a business atmosphere and put my talking to the test. Ross has also provided me the chance to complete a short-term study abroad in Italy over spring break with an elective course relating to global family business. Most of the electives you take are alongside MBA and other OYM students, allowing you to gain their unique perspectives as well.
Please shoot me an email if you have questions about anything MAcc! I’d be so happy to chat with you. Go Blue!
