Jonathan Klaiber

I am originally from the Chicago-area, went to undergrad in Milwaukee, worked briefly in Detroit, moved back to Chicago, and am now continuing my tour of the Midwest in Ann Arbor! 

Prior to coming to Ross I spent 5 years working for Accenture in Technology Consulting where I helped a variety of clients across industries transform their enterprise technology solutions. I found this work to be challenging and rewarding, but wanted to seek out opportunities that allow me to utilize these skills in a different capacity. I wanted to pursue my MBA to help me develop the leadership skills and knowledge required to make this transition and could not be happier be doing it at Ross.

As someone who grew up rooting for the Maize and Blue each Saturday, I had some initial bias toward Ross but it wasn't until I got to know the program at a deeper level that I knew this was truly the place for me. The key aspects about Ross I've come to enjoy come down to the community and culture that Ross fosters. Everyone in the program is genuinely friendly and outgoing, which manifests itself in a super collaborative and supportive environment. Be it in the classroom, during career prep, or at a social event there is a unifying sense of inclusion and positivity. It has been great getting to know so many high-quality individuals and coming together to learn and grow in our lives and careers.

When not in the classroom, you can find me exploring the great outdoors of Ann Arbor and the surrounding area. As a former collegiate cross-country/track athlete I'm almost always training for a race or to conquer some kind of active pursuit! I'm happy to talk about staying active in business school, the great opportunities that Michigan Ross provides, or anything else that might cross your mind!
