Mark Samar

I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, and went to undergrad at Miami University (OH) where I majored in finance.  Before Ross, I worked in Real Estate Asset Management in Chicago, focusing on the data center and life sciences property sectors. This work gave me valuable exposure to all elements of RE private equity including property investment and development, investor relations, and financial accounting.  

My decision to join the Ross community was driven by many reasons, the most important being the strong sense of community that exists among the MBA students.  The Ross student body is an exceptionally tight-knit community that values humility and accountability, and importantly, it's a place where we root for our fellow classmates to succeed.  

Outside of class I enjoy playing golf and basketball, hanging out with friends and family, and being an enthusiastic supporter of Cleveland sports.  Feel free to ask me about the Ross MBA student experience, application process, or anything else that comes to mind.  Go Blue!
