Maximillian Werner

I came to Ross from Jacksonville, Florida.  Prior to Ross I was an Army Infantry Officer for over four years, then joined a seed-staged software startup as a product manager and was with them for 2.5 years. I realized while I was at the startup that I lacked a foundational business knowledge that prevented me from making better informed business decisions.  Therefore, I came to Ross to gain that business acumen.  I want to enhance my tech career and either pursue further product management roles at large tech companies or in the fitness industry, or pivot to VC.

I moved to Ann Arbor with my wife, son, and two dogs (a mini golden doodle and a chocolate lab).  One of the main reasons I chose Ross is because of its welcoming and inclusive community toward families.  My family has been included in most events in Ross.  Outside of class, my family and I have loved exploring Ann Arbor’s myriad of coffee shops, parks, restaurant scene, and of course the Michigan football games!  Ask me anything about transitioning from military to business school, tech, startups, CrossFit, or sports in general!
