Melissa Carroll
Before joining Ross, I worked as a consultant at Kaiser Permanente supporting strategic workforce and engagement initiatives for employees across various levels and backgrounds. I decided to pursue my MBA to grow my skills and become a strategic leader that grows and maintains human-centric workplace cultures.
Ross immediately felt like home as I explored programs because of the warm and welcoming community of current students and alumni who generously shared their experiences and advice. The support I received as a prospective student has only strengthened since joining the program. The opportunities here—like the Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP), Nonprofit Board Fellowship, and various leadership programs—convinced me that Ross would allow me to grow as a person and professional.
In my free time, I like to explore local farmers’ markets, recipe test with seasonal ingredients, watch sports outside my skillset, and travel (31 U.S. states & counting!).
Reach out with questions or a chance to talk about Ross, human capital/people engagement, moving to Ann Arbor from California, or anything else. I remember what it was like reading these bios as I explored the program. Do not hesitate to reach out. Go Blue!
