Nihar Desai

Hello! My name is Nihar Desai and I am a member of the WMBA class of 2025. My academic journey includes earning an undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Currently, I serve as a sales manager for a company within the ABB group, contributing nine years of dedicated work. While I call Toronto, Canada, my home base, I find joy in commuting to Michigan for MBA class weekends.

Earning a MBA degree from a top school has been a long term goal of mine. I initially considered a fulltime MBA but learnt about the flexibility of the Michigan Ross Weekend MBA program during my school research. After speaking with then-existing students, I was convinced the school and the WMBA program were the best fit for me. Not only am I able to juggle my personal life and professional career, but also apply classroom learnings directly into my day to day work tasks. I value the program's well-organized fixed two-year schedule and the collaborative cohort-based learning environment. This structure enhances my connection with classmates, fostering deeper relationships than I might find in a program with more flexible completion dates.

Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I am an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for cricket, soccer, and tennis. Balancing a busy travel schedule for work, I cherish moments spent with my family. I'm here to connect and answer any questions you may have, so please feel free to reach out!
