Wang Zihao

Mr. Wang Zihao is a seasoned financial executive based in Hong Kong. 

He was born and raised in a rural village in mainland China and is currently the Chief Risk Officer and an Executive Committee member of Haitong International Securities Group, a leading investment bank in Hong Kong. Before his current responsibilities, he held several roles in structured lending, private investment, and risk management at Haitong. Prior to joining Haitong, he worked at Citibank with business units such as consumer banking, corporate banking and leveraged finance in New York headquarters, Sao Paulo branch and Hong Kong branch. He started his career with a manufacturing company in mainland. 

Zihao’s experience is rich and diverse - he worked for different business lines in different types of organizations in different markets. His unique background enables him to have a deep understanding of how the real world works and how a financial institution can survive and thrive in this uncertain and volatile world. At the same time, he has a curious mind and is very eager to learn about all kinds of new technologies and developments that are shaping our future. 

Zihao holds an MBA from University of Michigan. He also has a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree from Tongji University in Shanghai, China.
