Corporate Financial Policy --- This course is about "corporations" and "finance". Thus, the main goal of the course is to understand how corporations should design their financial policies to maximize shareholder value, and how financial policies interact with competitors' strategies and government regulations. The course starts with some conceptual background on frictionless financial markets, and then proceeds with the design of optimal leverage, capital issuance, cash holdings, dividend payouts, share buybacks, and hedging policies. At the end of this course, students should be well equipped to design policies to raise funds for a business.
