Dennis Oswald

Dennis Oswald is currently a Lecturer of Accounting at the Ross School of Business (University of Michigan), where he has been based since September 2007. Prior to this he was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at London Business School from September 1999 – July 2007. 
 
Dennis’ teaching focus is management accounting, where he teaches across the breadth of degree programs - undergraduate, Masters of Management, Masters of Supply Chain Management, and weekend MBA.  
 
Dennis’ research interests primarily focus on the use of accounting information by capital market participants. Specifically, his research has examined the accounting for research and development costs, the accounting for pensions, and the financial market implications of share repurchases.  
 
Dennis received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2000.  He also holds an MBA (University of Chicago, 1999), a MSc. in Accounting and Finance (LSE, 1995) and a BComm. (University of Alberta, 1991).
