Biography

Dr. Shani is a lecturer in the Strategy area at the Ross School of Business at the
University of Michigan. He teaches strategy topics to students across various programs,
including undergraduates, graduates, and executives. He earned his PhD in Strategy
from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. His research focuses
on social and psychological processes influencing corporate governance and the
strategic decision-making of corporate leaders. Specifically, he examines how corporate
leaders might respond to the treatment of other corporate leaders by different
stakeholders. His work has been published in the Academy of Management Journal.


As a Human-Factors expert, Dr. Shani advises on grant-funded research projects
focused on developing mobile-based interventions that utilize AI algorithms to deliver
personalized real-time support for mental health and chronic conditions. He is dedicated
to translating research innovations in mobile health into sustainable commercial
products.
