Just in: All Michigan Ross MBA Programs Ranked By U.S. News Are in the Top 10 This Year
The Ross School of Business is a great place to earn an MBA degree no matter which program you choose, according to the 2023 Graduate Business Schools Rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News ranked Michigan Ross in the top 10 in its latest rankings of residential MBA programs. The Ross Full-Time MBA Program jumped to No. 10, moving up three spots from last year, while the Executive MBA Program maintained its No. 5 ranking, and the Ross Weekend MBA — listed in the part-time MBA ranking — came in at No. 7.
In addition, Michigan Ross landed in the top 10 in 10 out of 13 graduate business specialties ranked by U.S. News, and was the only school to be ranked in all 13 specialties. Those results — which reflect the expertise of the school’s world-class faculty who are global thought leaders in their fields — were:

- Production operations: No. 4
- Accounting: No. 5
- Nonprofit: No. 5 (tie)
- Entrepreneurship: No. 8
- Supply chain: No. 8

- Information systems: No. 14
Latest accolade for the Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA Program
The Full-Time MBA Program moved up in the top 10 of the U.S. News ranking by improving its scores across the board, earning an overall score of 91 versus 85 last year. The program welcomed one of its strongest and most diverse cohorts in its history, with the Class of 2023 having the highest percentage of women ever, largest class of students in the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management of any business school, highest average GMAT score, and highest average GPA. In addition, Full-Time MBA graduates from the Class of 2021 broke employment records, including receiving the highest total median salary package, as they went to work for the most sought-after companies around the world.
The top 10 ranking for the Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA Program adds to many other prestigious recognitions that it has received in recent months. The program was named the MBA Program of the Year for 2021 by Poets&Quants and earned the No. 1 ranking for Best Administered MBA program (for the second consecutive year) and Greatest Resources for Women by the Princeton Review this year.

Executive and Weekend MBA programs remain in the top 10
Michigan Ross again landed in the top 10 in the U.S. News executive MBA and part-time MBA rankings. Both the Ross Weekend and Executive MBA programs have the strong action-based learning curriculum that Ross is known for, including its signature Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP) program, and are designed to offer working professionals the opportunity to earn their MBA without leaving their jobs.
In 2021, Michigan Ross expanded its partnership with the Forté Foundation — an organization working to advance underrepresented students and women in MBA programs — to include the school’s Weekend, Online, and Executive MBA programs. After previously being open to full-time MBA students, the expanded partnership provided the opportunity for the part-time and Executive MBA programs to award scholarships and have students be engaged in the foundation’s resources and programs.
The Michigan Ross Online MBA program is not yet (eligible to be) ranked in the U.S. News ranking of online MBA programs.

U-M performs well in rankings across campus
Like Michigan Ross, many other schools and colleges at the University of Michigan earned top placements in the U.S. News rankings. U-M has over 100 graduate programs ranked in the top 10 by the publication, and the university maintained its top-10 rankings in the following programs this year:
- The School of Social Work ranked No. 1.
- The School of Public Health ranked No. 6.
- The School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program ranked No. 7., and its master’s degree program ranked No. 8.
- The School of Education ranked No. 8.
- The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy ranked No. 8.

- The Law School ranked No. 10.
Ross Full-Time MBA students can take advantage of these top-ranked offerings through its dozens of dual-degree programs and elective courses. Many Ross courses are also interdisciplinary and bring together students from across campus to tap into the expertise and diversity of backgrounds found at the university.
