Listen Now: Latest Episode of ‘Working for the Weekend’ Part-Time MBA Podcast Highlights Experiences of Immigrant Students
A new episode of the part-time MBA podcast at the Ross School of Business shares the stories of four students who came to the U.S. as immigrants and are now balancing work and business school.
The “Working for the Weekend” podcast chronicles the experiences of students in the Michigan Ross Weekend and Evening MBA Programs. In the latest episode, the students, who all immigrated to the U.S. from other countries, join host Mawa Mustafa, MBA ’20, to discuss their journeys to Ross and thoughts about living and working in America.
The students featured are: second-year Weekend MBA students James McAdam, from England; Reinald Deda, originally from Albania; and Kaustubha Pachkhede, from India; and Evening MBA student Agustin Metz, from Argentina. The panelists reflect on the challenges of adapting to American culture, including getting used to the weather, and what they enjoy most about being in the U.S. and part of the Ross community.
In addition, they also offer some advice for prospective students — and for visitors to their home countries on their favorite don’t-miss attraction.
