Sohin Chinoy, BSEE '02/MBA '10
Sohin is Partner and Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal. He focuses on helping businesses grow, create strategic advantages, and increase internal efficiency. Prior to A&M, Sohin was CEO of Volley Automation, a deep-tech autonomous robotics company and the global CDSO and SVP of Strategy at CBRE, where he launched the company’s first large-scale Digital transformation. Prior to that, he was an Associate Partner at Kearney and previously held various roles within the semiconductor industry.
Sohin has shared his experiences as a speaker at industry events and continues to author reports in the technology, industrials, real estate, and aerospace sectors. He actively advises young companies and venture funds and enjoys helping local charities and government organizations in his spare time. He is the co-author of Chicago’s New Americans Plan.
A dual-degree alum, Sohin attended Michigan’s Ross School of Business as a Zell Lurie Scholar and previously graduated with a BSEE from the College of Engineering. Sohin loves sports, travel, and culture. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two young Wolverines-in-training.
