Career Background

Silke is a seasoned executive coach with over two decades of experience partnering with leaders across diverse industries to elevate their leadership effectiveness. She has coached various levels of leaders across a variety of industries including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, technology, and entrepreneurs.

Silke brings a unique combination of experiences, including deep leadership development expertise, emotional intelligence, and cross-cultural experience. She helps leaders increase their ability to deliver results, influence without authority and manage up, clarify their purpose and values, and improve employee engagement and work culture.

Silke is the owner of Three Birches LLC, an executive coaching and consulting firm in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Before that, she served as the Associate Director at the Sanger Leadership Center at the Ross School of Business. As Leadership Development Consultant and Executive Coach at Bose Corporation, she coached senior leaders and led the design of a Global People Management Program. Earlier in her career, Silke held leadership development positions at Harvard’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Linkage Inc., and PWS Wollsching-Strobel Managementberatung GmbH in Germany.

Silke’s coaching approach is distinguished by her application of evidence-based leadership practices. Key elements of her process are deep discovery, caring confrontation, experimentation, and reflection. Silke challenges and supports her clients to get out of their comfort zone and develop their full potential.
