Barbara Hopkins
Barbara began working for Michigan Ross in April of 2018 as a member of ACT. This position allowed her to gain knowledge of the wide and diverse programs offered by the Business School and to connect and collaborate with the Ross community. She has a true passion for higher education and professional development.
Barbara graduated from the University of South Florida, Tampa, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign languages with an emphasis on international business. She spent over 20 years at Eastern Michigan University in support of their professional programs and training. She directed the department for both their open enrollment and custom programs, working with all five colleges there to create, market and grow their program offerings. She has developed skills in designing marketing materials using InDesign, and is proficient in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, along with other software programs. Barbara prides herself on having a strong rapport with all constituents, from internal and external customers, to team members, faculty and associates based on her knowledge, professionalism and integrity. She also holds a Quality Specialist certification in quality management systems from EMU.
Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter on camping trips, visiting countless Michigan State Parks over the years. She has a passion for music, swimming, reading and doing puzzles, and especially enjoys cooking and discovering new recipes.
