Adewale Asimolowo
I am a chartered accountant from Nigeria with a combined experience of over a decade in the energy, corporate reporting, audit & assurance and data science & business analytics space.
My decision to come to Ross for an MBA degree was strongly influenced by my desire to become an industry leader, driving change and innovation in the energy sustainability space. My goal is to be at the forefront of making that transition, ultimately reducing the carbon footprint.
What attracted me to Ross is the close-knit community of genuinely interested people who want to see you grow and excel in your career. At Ross, we work hard and play hard. The Ross community is diverse, and the culture is rich. The bonus I got is the fact that I get to attend classes in the town of Ann Arbor where Ross is situated. It is a beautiful and peaceful town that makes you feel at home even when you are miles away from home!
When I am not studying or engaging in academic activities, I play soccer, work out and engage in non-academic social activities as a means of staying active and connecting with people. I also get to spend some of my free time exploring the beautiful city of Ann Arbor.
I am always happy to answer any questions relating to Michigan Ross, my journey to Ross, accounting, the energy space or even about my career transition to strategy consulting.
