Sharmishta Roy
I started my adventure in 2014 when I moved from India to the United States to pursue my Master's degree in Computer Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Following college, I worked in several jobs in software development, culminating in a significant career shift to Ford in 2018. My time with Ford has been a varied mix of roles, beginning as a technical program manager and software engineer. This experience created the groundwork for my advancement into a leadership position. I am currently enrolled in Ford's leader development program, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that allows me to explore various organizational areas, hone my leadership skills, and expand my technical knowledge.
The WMBA program at Ross really supported my shift from a strong technical foundation to a more business-oriented outlook. This program's highlight is the interaction with an array of driven, talented individuals, whose diverse perspectives enhance the learning experience far beyond the structured curriculum. The cohort model of the program not only fosters professional growth but also encourages the building of meaningful, lifelong connections.
The benefits I've reaped from Ross have been significant, and I am keen to give back. Should you have any inquiries about the program, my personal experiences, or any other related topics, please feel free to reach out. I am always available to offer guidance and share insights. Go Blue!
