Alum Jenny Just Hosts RossTalks Networking Event in Chicago
On Nov. 14, 2024, nearly 90 Ross School of Business alums and friends attended an evening RossTalks event in Chicago, Illinois.
Jenny Just, BBA ’90, co-founder and managing partner of PEAK6 Investments, hosted the event, which featured a fireside chat between her and Sharon Matusik, Edward J. Frey Dean of Business at Michigan Ross.
RossTalks events, which have been held since 2017, bring alums, faculty, and the larger community together at various venues worldwide to discuss the latest and most significant topics in business. These events serve as great opportunities for Michigan Ross alums to reconnect, network, and engage with today’s business challenges while listening to impactful speakers.
At previous RossTalks events, the Dean has chatted with notable alums and Ross community members like Richard Lui, MBA ’01, Daniel Och, and many more.
At the Chicago gathering, Just spoke to alums about her professional journey with PEAK6 Investments, from honing her skills on the Chicago trading floor to leading a hugely successful fintech enterprise. She offered tangible career advice and insights, and her partner, Matt Hulsizer, led the group in playing a short game the two devised to simulate trading options.
Just’s achievements have earned her several notable honors, including being featured in Forbes' America's Richest Self-Made Women and 50 Over 50 lists and Worth Magazine’s Groundbreaking Women. She has also received the Women's Poker Association's Industry Innovation Recognition Award and a Tony Award for her involvement in "Memphis the Musical."
