Based in New York City, AGMES creates bold and refined shapes inspired by architecture and art and is led by sisters Morgan and Jaclyn Solomon. They founded the company in 2016, having been encouraged to do so by their late friend, Andrew. His initials combine with Morgan’s to form the name AGMES.

“His legacy endures in our commitments to kindness and equal treatment for all, sustainable practices, and creating pieces that can be handed down to the next generation,” said Solomon.

Created from precious and sustainable materials, each AGMES piece is handmade to last by a small team of skilled artisans.

Pickup Sports

Lakshmi Jayanthi, MBA ’09

After receiving a text from her cousin asking what sport she should sign her five-year-old up for, Jayanthi was inspired to help parents introduce their children to sports. This experience became the inspiration for Pickup Sports, which is now one of the first companies for parents and other adults to introduce a variety of sports through an easily implemented program.

After receiving an assessment of the child’s interests and abilities, the kits are customized to meet goals and sample multiple sports in a fun way. In addition to the activities, some kits also include virtual guidance and classes.
